At the age of 16, Karlis moved to England to pursue his studies and become a lawyer. Being independent of his family at such a young age exposed him to deal with real-world problems - which taught him valuable life skills such as resilience, independence, responsibility, problem-solving, and management of money. 

Karlis obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree and advanced to qualify as a lawyer. His creative writing skills are unique and driven by his successful professional career as a lawyer practicing in England. 

In his spare time, Karlis is a passionate writer, commentator, and philosopher. His international background and life experience set him apart and provide his readers with a new and fresh perspective on the conventional views and narratives.

Karlis has also been involved and is passionate about supporting charitable causes, growing entrepreneurial networks, and developing commercial awareness.
